Participants for Scratch Division MUST be available to play at PRC on
Monday, July 4th between 11:30 AM - 12:30 AM. 

 

GOLF RULES & INFORMATION

One round each at Piping Rock, The Creek & Meadow Brook.
Courses will be open for Tournament Play Thursday through Monday.
Two rounds may be played on one day.

 

Golf Contestants should make their own foursomes and MUST obtain starting times for all 3 clubs.

 

FORMAT:   Stroke Play – Better Ball of Partners, Gross and Net

 

HANDICAP ALLOWANCE: 100%, Maximum stroke allowance after any adjustment will be 18 for Men and 22 for Ladies.  NOTE: to be eligible for the Low Gross prize, the combined handicap for a team must be 6 or higher. 

 

TEES:  Men Blue Tees at Piping Rock, and Red Tees at Meadow Brook and The Creek.  Men age 55 and over may move up one set of tees using their adjusted playing handicap.  Please note: If a senior player plays from the forward tees, he must continue to play them for all three rounds. 

 

All Ladies will play the Red Tees at Piping Rock, and White Tees at Meadow Brook and The Creek.

 

LIVING LEGENDS:  Both team members must be age 55 or over.  Players compete for Living Legend prizes, as well as grand Liberty Bell prizes. 

 

HAT POOL: Every team is entered into the Hat Pool unless they state otherwise before teeing off in the First Round.

 

USGA RULES GOVERN ALL PLAY:  Note – 14 Club Limit!  Any local rules that may come into effect will be posted at the First Tee.  Distance measuring devices are permissible for Tournament play. 

 

SLOW PLAY CANNOT BE TOLERATED:  A Ranger will monitor play, please adhere to playing without delay.
Mandatory pace of play for all courses is Four Hours and Fifteen Minutes.

 

 

The low round at Piping Rock will break ties.  If there is still a tie a match of cards will take place (Piping Rock round).  The match of cards will start on the back nine total, if necessary last six holes, last three holes, and finally the 18th Hole.

 

In the event of a tie for 1st Place (Net & Gross) there will be a Hole-by-Hole play-off, commencing at 5:30 P.M.  on the First Hole at Piping Rock. 

 

In addition to the overall Tournament Net Winners, there will be prizes awarded for the Low Gross in both the Men’s and Ladies’ Divisions, and a daily Low Net Prize on each course.
